Underappreciated Aspects of Glee, Vol. 1: Kendra

Only two more circadian rhythms until, that’s right, another episode of Glee.  Deedle deedle dee!

In the meantime, let’s talk about the most underappreciated character on the show.  Terri’s sister Kendra makes only rare appearances … if my figures are right, only two episodes so far.  (BTW, I couldn’t find ANY images of Kendra or Kendra scenes on the web.  Granted, I didn’t look very long – too tired – but still, what gives?)

In “Showmance,” we are introduced to this delightfully bitchy sister in law during the stressful dinner scene where she tells Will what’s what (the entire thing made me want to pop a Paxil, but still, hilarrrrrrious!)

In “Preggers,” we see Kendra again in the lamaze scene which included One of My Favorite Television Quotes of All Time.  As Will and Terri are practicing their breathing exercises, Kendra tells Will to buck up and spits out this gem: “Giving birth is not like how it is in the movies. It is bloody, and bestial. And you get poop all over your cowboy boots.”

I’m pretty confident that we’ll see more of Kendra in the weeks to come.  Her character is just too good to waste.
